Comprehensive Partnership Agreement Concluded with Teikyo University Educational Foundation

On January 12, 2024, the museum, Hirayama Ikuo Silk Road Museum Foundation, concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement with Teikyo University Educational Foundation regarding collaboration and cooperation in joint research and joint projects.
The signing ceremony was held at Teikyo University’s Itabashi Campus. Yoshihito Okinaga, Chairperson and President of Teikyo University, and Ren Hirayama, Chairperson of the museum, signed the agreement and took commemorative photographs.
Also present at the ceremony were Hiroko Okinaga, Executive Director and Vice President of Teikyo University; Kazuya Yamauchi, Director of the Institute of Cultural Properties, specializing in West Asian archaeology; Associate Professor Akira Fujisawa, specializing in conservation science; and Toko Hirayama, Director of the museum.
Going forward, through research on the Silk Road collection, mutual personnel exchange, and joint projects, the agreement is expected to further invigorate Silk Road studies at both institutions and support their use in education.
