Online applications for the Fossil Excavation Experience 2026 will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, and online applications for the related workshops will begin at 11:00 a.m. Please note that, starting this year, applications for the related workshops will also be accepted online.

We receive a very large number of applications every year. We kindly ask that you read the notes below and prepare in advance. If you need to cancel, please be sure to contact the museum.
We will update the list and website as needed and do our best to allow as many people as possible to participate.

《1. Applications for the Fossil Excavation Experience 2026》 Online Application

・Applications will open at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6.
・A link to the application website will be posted on the museum website. Please apply through that link.
・A calendar will be displayed on the application website. Three types of availability will be shown: “○: Plenty of spaces available,” “△: Only a few spaces remaining,” and “×: Fully booked.” Applications can be made for sessions marked “○” or “△.” Please note that when only a few spaces remain, you will not be able to select a number of participants that exceeds the remaining capacity.
・Required information: ① number of participants, ② representative’s name, ③ furigana, ④ email address, ⑤ phone number, ⑥ age, ⑦ prefecture of residence, ⑧ city/ward/town/village, and ⑨ if applying for two or more people, the names, furigana, and ages of all accompanying participants.
・Up to 10 people can be registered at one time.
・Once your application is complete, a reservation confirmation email will be sent to the email address you entered within 10 minutes.

If you register a smartphone or mobile phone email address, you may not be able to receive emails due to domain restrictions, email filters, or settings that block spoofed emails as part of spam prevention measures. Before applying, please check that your device is set to receive emails from “silkroad-museum.jp.”

《2. Applications for Related Workshops》 Online Application

・Applications will open at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, one hour after the fossil excavation application opens.
・A link to the application website will be posted on the museum website. Please apply through that link.
・In order to allow as many people as possible to participate, each household may apply for up to two types of workshops.
・For the related workshops, no reservation confirmation email will be sent.
・If cancellations occur, the application form will be updated. Please make your reservation through the updated form.
