July 6–August 25: “Fossilized Turtles” Exhibition

July 6, 2024 – August 25, 2024

Turtle fossils are known to be particularly common among vertebrate fossils, having been found at more than 100 sites across Japan. Through fossils and the skeletons of present-day turtles, let us explore their 240-million-year evolution and the changes in the Earth’s environment.

For this exhibition, a special illustration of Megalochelys created by Professor Takashi Oda will be displayed at life size, measuring approximately 3 meters wide. Please take a photo with it!
